Building on our eighteen tradition of sponsoring a regional Business Plan Competition for college students and early-stage firms, tecBRIDGE is proud to also coordinate the High School Business Plan Competition for teams in high school and home school located in Northeastern Pennsylvania.¹
The High School Business Plan Competition challenges high school and home school teams to create a STEAM2 based business. Teams will conduct research in a number of key areas required to build a successful business and tell their business story through both a formal plan document and presentation.
A select group of entrepreneurs, business professionals, and college professors will evaluate submissions to identify teams that will move to a live presentation round where teams will present their business plan proposals and answer judges’ questions. Top teams will be expected to develop sustainable and scalable concepts while demonstrating creativity, critical thinking, and strong presentation skills.
¹High School and home school students in Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Wayne and Wyoming County are eligible to participate. Students working with a tecBRIDGE Incubator Partner are also eligible to participate.
