Teams will register for the High School Business Plan Competition by February 9th via the Registration
Form located on the tecBRIDGE High School Business Competition Landing Page.
Teams will submit the following two deliverables to info@tecBRIDGEPA.org by 5pm on March 9th:
- Five (5) page Business Plan that addresses the 2018 HSBPC question set located in the
Competition Deliverables Section of this landing page. - Business Plan Presentation. A suggested format can be found in the Competition Deliverables
Section of this landing page.
A judging panel consisting of experienced entrepreneurs, business professionals and collegiate
educators will select submissions to participate in the Live Judging Rounds scheduled for March 24th at
Penn State University – Worthington Scranton.
Top teams will be expected to develop sustainable and scalable concepts while demonstrating creativity, critical thinking, and strong presentation skills. All team Mentors/Chaperones will be notified of judging selections for the Live Presentation Rounds by 5pm on March 14th.
Team Mentors/Chaperones agree to be in attendance with their teams if they are selected to participate
in the Live Judging Rounds at Penn State University – Worthington Scranton on March 24th. Teams
invited to participate at the Live Judging Rounds will not be allowed to compete without an authorized
Mentor/Chaperone in attendance.
Teams invited to present at the Live Judging Rounds will be assigned divisions by the Judging
Committee. Presentations delivered with the submission package will be used at the Live Judging
Rounds. No substitutions will be allowed.
All teams invited to present at the Live Judging Rounds will deliver their presentations to a division
judging panel at morning sessions of the Competition on the 24th. Division judges will receive team
business plans in advance for review but will not receive initial screening scores.
Team live presentation sessions will consist of the following:
Ten Minute team delivery of their application presentation. ¹
Ten Minute Question and Answer session with division judges.
Ten Minute Judge Scoring Period.
Spectators are invited to watch Division Round live presentations – classroom space permitting.
Judges will select one team from each Live Presentation Division to advance to the Live Judging Finals
during the afternoon of March 24th. Spectators are encouraged to attend the Live Presentation Finals
Round.
A separate Judging Panel will evaluate all Division Winners using the same time allocations as detailed
above. Finals Judges will announce the winning teams at the afternoon Awards Presentation Ceremony.
