Jerry Lisman has a really full schedule these days.

He and his wife Connie recently acquired the controlling interest in Penco Medical Inc. – a national medical supply company that they first invested in back in 2004.  That’s in addition to his responsibilities as CEO of Lisman Holdings, a company with investments in e-commerce, product development, entertainment, and consumer products.

When he is not engaged at work, Jerry is an active community volunteer.  At tecBRIDGE, Jerry recently helped co-found the new Inventor’s Guild Meetup Group, participates in the annual Business Plan Competition as In-Kind Committee Chair and Help Session advisor, and conducted a Work Shop at the 2016 Entrepreneurship Institute Conference on distribution strategies and pricing implications.  According to Jerry, “volunteering with tecBRIDGE is exciting because it provides the opportunity to meet entrepreneurs with amazing new ideas that we can help nurture here in NEPA. ”

Jerry is also the incoming Board Chairman for Junior Achievement of NEPA and Director Emeritus with Big Brothers Big Sisters.  In addition, Jerry offers time as a mentor for Wilkes University students at the Alan P. Kirby Center for Free Enterprise where he was named 2015 Mentor of the Year.

Many in Northeastern Pennsylvania know Jerry as a go-to person when it comes to volunteer work. Joking that he “finds ways to make the time,” Jerry said the most important thing about volunteering is to take the commitment seriously. “You have to treat it like a job and jump in with both feet. If you don’t put your full effort into your work, you won’t feel pride in it.”

Thanks for all you do for our community Jerry.
